As per QU course repeat policy, available at this link, if a student earns a final grade below “C” in a course, they must obtain college approval to repeat it for the third time. Consequently, the CSE department has established the following policy, effective Spring 2024:
Students are permitted to retake a CMPS/CMPE course up to three times. After three attempts, the CSE department will NOT approve repeat requests for the same course, especially the 100 and 200 level courses.
This policy aims to provide students with ample opportunities for academic improvement while upholding academic standards and rigour. Unlimited repeats are not permitted to improve graduation rates and optimize resource utilization.
